As well as fulfilling the duties of a Trustee, The Production Exchange (TPE) Trustee (Development) maintains an overview of TPE’s fundraising and development strategy. The Trustee (Development) brings experience, creativity, contacts and enthusiasm to help TPE diversify income streams and build sustainable funding relationships
Trustee (Development) role
- Leading the development and oversight of TPE’s new Fundraising Strategy.
- Advise on best practice in fundraising — including individual giving, grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising.
- Supporting staff, Trustees and supporters in identifying and approaching potential funders and donors.
- Championing a culture of philanthropy and ensuring ethical fundraising in line with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.
- Using personal and professional networks to help open doors to potential supporters and partners.
- Monitoring fundraising performance and helping ensure fundraising activities align with the charity’s values and strategic goals.
In addition, the Trustee (Development) will have the responsibilities of all TPE trustees:

- Support and provide advice on The Production Exchange’s purpose, vision, goals and activities.
- Approve operational strategies and policies, and monitor and evaluate their implementation.
- Oversee The Production Exchange’s financial plans and budgets and monitor and evaluate progress.
- Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation.
- Ensure that key risks are being identified, monitored and controlled effectively.
- Review and approve The Production Exchange’s financial statements.
- Provide support and challenge to The Production Exchange’s staff in the exercise of their delegated authority and affairs.
- Keep abreast of changes in The Production Exchange’s operating environment.
- Contribute to regular reviews of The Production Exchange’s own governance.
- Attend Board meetings, adequately prepared to contribute to discussions
